What I have come to discover is that artists can use their skills to act as cultural diplomats, not just bridging the relationship between people & organisations, but also help to bridge that distance between a person & their own voice.
— Louise Wallwein

PARTICIPATION

Louise is very proud of her work in Communities and Schools, and has worked with thousands of people in many different contexts to find and develop their voices. She has been described variously as fearless and explosive and has a particularly excellent reputation for engaging young people and those often deemed difficult to reach. Her approach is simple, we all have a story, and we all should have the opportunity to tell these stories in some way.

A natural collaborator, she has worked facilitated projects spanning film, animation, sound and theatre with organisations including Contact Theatre, Creative Partnerships, Cardboard Citizens, University of Central Lancashire and the BBC.

LOUISE IS ONE OF THE BEST TEACHERS/WORKSHOP LEADERS I HAVE COME ACROSS (& I HAVE EMPLOYED HUNDREDS).  SHE KNOWS EXACTLY HOW TO RELATE TO EACH INDIVIDUAL IN A GROUP - FINDING A WAY TO MAKE THEM COMFORTABLE WITH LANGUAGE, & EXCITED ABOUT SELF-EXPRESSION, & BRINGING REALLY GOOD WORK OUT OF EVERYONE.
