Manchester Camerata and Louise Wallwein MBE win Manchester Culture Award

Manchester Camerata and Louise Wallwein MBE win the Manchester Culture Award for Best Performance for Louise’s play HIDDEN

Louise says

“. It has been a huge privilege to serve the YOUNG ONSET DEMENTIA story and to work with people living with this condition and their carers and families who courageously told me the absolute truth of their lives and allowed me to make this work for them . I have for years worked with many people across Greater Manchester, listening and translating their stories. It led me to tap dance at the Royal Northern College of Music , not a sentence I ever thought I would write in my lifetime. It led to this wonderful play that can now go and educate the world about this life altering condition. THANKYOU Manchester Camerata and the WellcomeTrust for funding and supporting the kind of socially engaged work that I make.
