Louise Wallwein MBE and Manchester Camerata finalist Manchester Culture Awards
Some great news I can finally share. Myself and Manchester Camerata are finalists in The Manchester Culture Awards in the best Production category for my play HIDDEN. It has been a huge privilege to serve the YOUNG ONSET DEMENTIA story and to work with people living with this condition and their carers and families who courageously told me the absolute truth of their lives and allowed me to make this work for them . I have for years worked with many people across Greater Manchester, listening and translating their stories. It led me to tap dance at the Royal Northern College of Music , not a sentence I ever thought I would write in my lifetime. It led to this wonderful play that can now go and educate the world about this life altering condition. THANKYOU Manchester Camerata and the WellcomeTrust for funding and supporting the kind of socially engaged work that I make Congratulations to the wonderful company of musicians Jaydev Mistry Andrea Vogler Heather Bills, actors Susan Aderin, Alex Mathie, Danielle Henry, Robin Lyons, Deb McAndrew, Dramaturg and Director Susan. Roberts. Producer Chris Wright. Assistant Producer Jacqui Barnes. Stage Managers Caitlin Chatfield. Clare Heath and Lucy Geddes and Simon Parry of University of Manchester for employing me four years ago , where the hidden journey began at the Victoria Park Day care centre.
